Alice has been working in the mental health field since 2003. She has worked for Daybreak Pregnancy Resource Center in Boston, MA, working with women and adolescent girls dealing with issues such as pregnancy, abortion, and body-image. Alice has also worked for Health & Education Services in Beverly, MA. During her time as a Crisis Clinician, Alice administered emergency psychiatric assessments, screenings, and treatment plans for acute and crisis clients and provided psychiatric referrals. Concurrently, she provided case management and made home visits to several clients dealing with low self-esteem, substance abuse, depression, and eating disorders.
Most recently, Alice worked for three years at Head Start with Tri-City Community Action Program in Malden, MA. Alice worked closely with families with issues such as behavioral disorders, family issues, and children with ADHD and autism.
Alice takes a cognitive-behavioral approach to psychotherapy. An underlying philosophy of this approach is that clients can feel better about themselves by challenging their own assumptions and beliefs. Alice is also “growth-focused,” meaning that sessions focus on improvement and client strengths. Alice is committed to walking alongside her clients and helping them experience emotionally, mentally, and spiritually healthier lives.
Alice is married and lives with her husband in Allston, MA. She enjoys church ministry, volleyball, food, and spending time with family and friends.
